Ben's White Coat Ceremony

On Friday, we attended Ben's White Coat Ceremony. Ben's mom, my parents, and my sister all came down to go with me. It was such a nice ceremony. For those who don't know what that is. The White Coat Ceremony is recognizing that the students starting patient care and it symbolizes the responsibility that they now have while wearing the white coat. So they have a ceremony where they present them with the coat. It went great, and I am so proud of my husband! He has worked so hard to get where he is.

 

Anniversary Trip to Savannah

We went to Savannah for a short trip this weekend. It was my first time ever going to Savannah and Ben hadn't been since he was little. We had a great time. It was so nice to be able to get away for a short time. I took a lot of pictures and had a hard time picking through them when trying to decide what to share. So here is what I picked. Hope you enjoy!

We went to the Savannah History Museum. It was really neat. We were only allowed to take pictures without a flash which really stinks because it was too dark in there. So most of my pictures turned out blurry. They had an old  dental operatory set up which was right up our ally considering we are both in the dental field. 

We went antiquing one of the days. Too bad most of the things I liked were a just a little bit out of my price range. I did fall in love with this old camera and fan...

Oh, how I love the Spanish moss! I could take pictures of it all day!

I love the character that the cobblestones add on River Street. Ben got the Shrimp, Grits, and Greens at Belford's. It was sooooo good!

Of course, having the sweet tooth that I do, we had to have Gelato each night for dessert. :)

Once he finished his tooth, he decided that it was going to need some restorative work.

Meanwhile, I was taking pictures of the scenery.

On another note....when Ben gets the camera he likes to snap a ton of random pictures. So as I was looking through the pictures later I noticed how much I mess with my hair. Do you think I have an obsession?

It drives Ben crazy! He is always swatting at my hands when I am playing with my hair. I usually don't even realize I am doing it though!

 

A Wonderful Anniversary

We had a wonderful 1st Anniversary. It was so nice to be able to spend some time with Ben. We went to the dollar theater and saw "The Lucky One". I had just finished reading the book and of course, I couldn't resist going to see the movie after seeing the trailer with Zac Efron. Haha..but I really can't resist a good love story! It was good, I would recommend it and the book to anyone who likes love stories or Nicholas Sparks. You probably could have guessed that Ben just loved this one!

 We came back home and cooked dinner. We had boiled shrimp, a Greek salad, and some yummy Velveeta Shells (we normally don't eat these, but they were good! no judging!) It was delicious!

After dinner we enjoyed the top layer of our wedding cake. Surprisingly enough, it was really good! I wouldn't say that it compared to the day of but it definitely exceeded my expectations. It still looked great and smelled great too!

I absolutely adored my wedding cake made by my talented, big sister, Ana. So when I got this cake top out, I just couldn't help myself. I took a ton of pictures! It was just too pretty to eat first!

I had a wonderful day and I look forward to many more of these ahead!

One Year

One year ago today, I married my best friend. Many people probably already know this but for my readers who don't know, I started dating Ben almost 10 years ago. We are actually "middle school sweethearts."  Ben used to pick on me in middle school and at first I really didn't like him. Little did I know, he was really picking on me because he liked me. He ended up being the best thing that has ever happened to me. This 1st year has been a wonderful year and a great start to our journey together. I look forward to spending many more years together. Happy 1st Anniversary, Ben! I love you!

Since I made my blog after my wedding, I haven't shared many of my wedding pictures.We had a pretty hectic wedding day but I admire my wedding pictures because they were one of the great things from that day. I love looking at wedding photos, so I decided I should share my own. So I made a page at the top of my blog called "Our Wedding". Another Week Goes By

Well, it has been another whole week since I posted. I have got to get more on top of this blog. I apologize for my absence once again. We had another busy week. Last weekend, one of Ben's friends from dental school, Jackie, got married. So we went to that wedding Saturday night. We had a great time. It was a beautiful wedding.

We had a good Memorial Day weekend. We stayed at the house and worked on some shelves that we are building for the laundry room. We cooked out and made smores over the grill. It was nice to finally be able to spend time with Ben. We got them built and painted but didn't quite get them up on the wall. Then I had to work the rest of the week so we didn't get the laundry room finished. I was glad to have some work though. Then I headed back to Gainesville after work on Thursday. I have to work tomorrow here and then get to spend the rest of the weekend with my family. Ben went off camping this weekend with some friends, so I think I will probably lay out by the pool tomorrow.

It looks like this next week is going to be another busy one. I have to work every day and then on Friday Ben and I are going to Savannah for our 1st Anniversary! I can't wait! I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend!
